What it is

World Zero runs on the Millenia Engine. The build you can open here is the headless simulation core: one Python file, running unmodified in your browser through Pyodide. No install, no account, no server.

24 autonomous agents operate under rule-based logic, season by season. Markets, unrest, migration and subsidy behaviour emerge from their decisions and the state of the world around them, not from a script. 49 tests have been run against this core.

How to read it in ninety seconds

  1. Pick a starting path. There are three, each with different starting stats.
  2. Advance seasons. Watch unrest, migration and the ledger move.
  3. Flip the skin. The identical simulation relabels itself as an institution instead of a kingdom. The underlying maths does not change.
  4. Trigger the consult. This is the one live model call: it reasons over the current state of the simulation, routed through a Cloudflare Worker on Workers AI.

What to watch for

Run 3, seed 42, sixty seasons. Unrest begins at season 10. Migration begins at season 19. A subsidy shock lands at season 25. By season 60, 23 of the 24 agents have migrated. No scenario was scripted and no model was called. Run it again on the same seed and you get the same result.

Latency perception test: 45 trials, an identical 2 to 5 second delay in every one. Framed as a plain loading indicator, participants read it as the world working 0% of the time. Framed as a narrative ledger, 83%.
